Since To Proudly Go's earliest days, drag has been one of the ways we bring our mission to life. Our Drag Show Fundraisers combine drag performance, science-fiction fandom, LGBTQIA+ visibility, and charitable giving to create joyful and welcoming experiences with a purpose.

Inspired by the inclusive and hopeful futures imagined through science fiction, our performers transform familiar characters, stories, and themes through the creativity and self-expression of drag. These performances provide an accessible way for LGBTQIA+ people, allies, and fans to come together while celebrating the diversity and creativity of our community. Our annual reports describe this intersection of drag, cosplay, LGBTQIA+ identity, and science-fiction fandom as a central part of our community engagement.

But the show has always been about more than the stage. Our drag shows turn celebration into charitable action. Through fundraising campaigns, raffles, audience contributions, merchandise, and other charitable activities connected with our programming, To Proudly Go has used its events to raise awareness and charitable grant support for nonprofit and community organizations whose work reflects our values.

As To Proudly Go's programming continues to evolve, our Drag Show Fundraisers remain an important expression of what we believe: joy can build community, visibility can create belonging, and entertainment can become a vehicle for meaningful action. We don't just imagine a more inclusive future. Together, we perform it, celebrate it, and help build it.
