About Trek Long Island
Trek Long Island is a 3 day science fiction convention with a focus on the Star Trek Fandom. Our convention brings together fans, creators, and stars from across the science fiction universe for an unforgettable weekend. Hosted by Library for the Kind, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for Diversity and Inclusion in children's literacy.
What can you expect to see at Trek Long Island?
Panels & Discussions: Trek Long Island's panels are hosted by podcasters and professionals in the fields of tv, entertainment. science, D&I, and more. We also run fan panels and meet ups. Keep an eye out for our schedule to be posted by May 1.
Celebrity Appearances: Meet your favorite stars from iconic sci-fi series! Our celebrity guests are available for autographs and photo opportunities, on Saturday and Sunday of the convention.
Vendors & Merchandise: Explore a marketplace packed with unique sci-fi merchandise, from rare collectibles to indie books and artwork. it is a great opportunity to support local artists, authors, and small businesses.
Kids' Events: Don't leave your tribbles at home! With special events designed for young fans, including hands-on activities, storytelling with the stars, and fun, interactive experiences, kids will be busy. Kid's events are on Saturday and Sunday.
Cosplay Events: Trek Long Island has its cosplay show on Saturday evening with Heather Wood!!
Author Spotlights: Meet renowned science fiction authors, attend their book signings, and listen to them discuss their work. This is a great chance to hear from the creative minds behind some of the most beloved sci-fi stories of today.
Podcasts: Enjoy live recordings from top sci-fi podcasters, as they discuss the latest in genre news, analyze trends, and even host audience Q&A sessions. It's the perfect blend of entertainment and conversation!
Science Track: We have invited scientists in fields of science to speak on panels all weekend.
